Whether we experience life to its fullest or we suffer life; It is all a question of acceptance. The more we accept the situations in which we exist, the more we progress towards our own wellbeing. The more we resist the more we suffer the very process of life. You may take any example from your day to day life situations and you will find that what is mentioned above holds true in every context. Let’s say on a certain day you have an early morning official meeting and you need to wake up at 4:00 AM in the morning.
Now for many people waking up at 4:00 AM will be a big deal and they will struggle. On the other hand, if you are planning for a trekking expedition and this time even if you have to wake up early at 3:00 AM, you will be able to do it effortlessly. So the question is not about waking up at 3:00 AM or 4:00 AM; the question is about your willingness and acceptance.
If you have the courage and willingness to accept whatever is there right now; that enables you to take right kind of action without any friction. If you have already made your mind about something or some situation without even knowing what that is about; it will take a huge toll if you have to go about dealing with that situation. Acceptance always acts as a lubricant which streamlines the functioning of your body and mind so that they can work in tandem with each other. But if you consciously try to avoid any situation for which you are responsible then you are asking for trouble.
There are several reasons why people develop the allergy to various situations in their life. One of the prominent reasons is limited or small identities which people have taken onto themselves. For example, the identity of religion, caste, creed, race or the country for that matter. For e.g., Once you have taken an identity of a religion, there is no way you can stop yourself from bullshitting other religions. Unfortunately, that’s what we see in the world today. If you are strongly identified with your own body and mind, then obviously you will think that you are above everybody else. Likewise, we can take numerous examples.
So the first and the foremost step which you need to take is to demolish all the limited identities which you have taken in your life. The more you dissolve your identities, the more you start accepting & experiencing life. As you become more and more receptive, you start to become joyful by your own nature. And this is something which not only you will notice but the people around you will also start pointing out. Slowly and steadily you will become in such a way that in your experience just about everything becomes a part of you. People will start enjoying being with you because you are not looking for happiness, rather you are a bundle of joy yourself.
If we become responsible for our own lives, then it’s very important that we learn to accept situations the way they exist. If this happens then instead of blaming someone for the situation we will always strive to find out a solution. Once we put sincere effort to find a solution, suddenly the very process of life will become a joyful act. If this happens, you will never need to find happiness somewhere else because you yourself will become the very embodiment of happiness and joyfulness.
Peace & Love!
